Exciting news for content creators and social media enthusiasts! Twitter, now known as X, has unveiled its latest advertising revenue sharing program, “Ads Revenue Sharing,” offering a chance for eligible users to generate income through the platform. This move puts X in line with popular platforms like YouTube and TikTok, allowing its users to monetize their content and turn their passion into profit.

What’s particularly interesting about this announcement is that the Malaysian market is among the countries included in this program, along with neighboring nations like Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. This means that Malaysian users now have the opportunity to tap into the earning potential of X’s new initiative.

So, what does it take to join the Ads Revenue Sharing program? X has laid out three essential criteria for accounts to be eligible:

  • The account must subscribe to Twitter Blue or be part of a Verified Organization.
  • It should have collected at least 15 million impressions through tweeting in the last three months.
  • The account must have a minimum of 500 followers.

Once these criteria are met, content creators can start earning through the platform. The minimum withdrawal limit has been set at USD 50 (approximately RM 227), and payments will be processed through the Stripe platform. Therefore, users are required to create a Stripe account to receive their earnings.

This program presents a promising opportunity for content creators who actively engage with the platform and regularly share valuable content. However, some may express concerns about the requirement to subscribe to Twitter Blue. The subscription fee for Twitter Blue in Malaysia is RM 50 per month. Alternatively, users can opt for an annual subscription at RM 369 through the website or RM 519 through the online platform (Android, iOS).

In conclusion, X’s Ads Revenue Sharing program has opened up exciting opportunities for content creators in Malaysia and neighboring countries. With the right content, engagement, and eligibility, users can now turn their passion for sharing into a fruitful income stream. So, if you’re an active X user with a substantial following, this is your chance to shine and earn on the platform you love!
