So what to expect during a Solar Eclipse? Even though the sight could be phenomenal, watching the eclipse with naked eye is dangerous as it could potentially cause permanent blindness. So make sure to take safety measures or use a telescope to witness it. For those who are fasting, it is advised to not stay out long to avoid dehydration.

Just in case if you miss out or can’t get the chance to witness it in real, Kuala Lumpur National Planetarium will also host a livestream of the event on their Facebook and YouTube pages, and will provide images of the eclipse taken in Malaysia, as well as from other parts of the world. Previously, Malaysia experienced a partial solar eclipse on 21st June 2020. The next expected occurrence will be in four years’ time, which will be in August 2027.
