Google has just dropped a bombshell for Android enthusiasts – the Android 15 Developer Preview (DP) is now available for eager testers. The official product page is buzzing with excitement as users anticipate the next big leap in the Android ecosystem. However, only a selected few Android devices can currently host this preview, with wider accessibility anticipated in the near future.

So, what goodies does Android 15 bring to the table?

While Android 15 doesn’t flaunt a dramatic redesign, it packs a punch with its refined user experience and under-the-hood enhancements. Security and privacy take center stage, with updates to the Privacy Sandbox system fortifying web access against intrusive advertising.

Developers are in for a treat with the introduction of new APIs aimed at optimizing app performance and energy efficiency. Third-party apps gain easier access to device cameras, promising smoother integration for social media platforms. Moreover, the introduction of partial screen sharing opens up new possibilities for multitasking.

Android 15 also boasts improved compatibility with diverse screen resolutions, catering to the growing trend of foldable devices. Expect smarter screen management and enhanced productivity, with features like intuitive multi-app shortcuts.

Among the standout features is Notification Cooldown, a nifty tool that gradually lowers the volume of repeated notifications from the same app. This subtle tweak aims to prevent notification overload, ensuring a more seamless user experience.

But who gets to play with Android 15 Preview?
