THE LAST DANCE Breaks Records in Malaysia – Earns RM18.8 Million and Enters Top 10 Chinese Films List

Kuala Lumpur, 18 April 2025 – The heartfelt Hong Kong film THE LAST DANCE has officially become one of Malaysia’s top Chinese-language movies of all time. Directed, produced, and co-written by Anselm Chan Mou Yin, the movie stars legends Dayo Wong and Michael Hui, alongside a talented cast including Michelle Wai, Tommy Chu, and Catherine Chau.

THE LAST DANCE has earned over RM18.8 million at the Malaysian box office, making it:

  • The highest-grossing Hong Kong film in Malaysia since 2020.

  • One of the Top 10 highest-grossing Chinese-language films in Malaysian cinema history.

🌏 Record-Breaking Internationally

In Hong Kong and Macau, the film has collected more than HKD166 million, becoming the highest-grossing Chinese-language film of all time in Hong Kong.

Additional scenes feature surprise appearances by Vincent Kok and Kaki Sham, enhancing the emotional impact and storytelling.
