In this new chapter, Moana receives a vision during a ritual of an island called Motufetu, once a hub for unity but now cursed by the god Nalo. With her historian friend Moni, boatmaker Loto, and farmer Kele, she sets sail to break the curse. Along the way, they rescue demigod Maui from a giant clam and team up with unexpected allies, including the mischievous Kakamora and the enigmatic bat-woman Matangi. Together, they face challenges that test their resolve and teamwork.
Directed by David G. Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, the film blends breathtaking animation with thoughtful cultural representation.
