In a recent interview with Bustle, Moore shared her casting vision. “I could see her with 50 feet of hair or something,” Moore said with a laugh. “She looks like a Disney princess in real life.”
Moore went a step further, suggesting a unique twist for the potential live-action film. “Maybe I could be Rapunzel’s mum,” she proposed. “Let’s have a real mother-daughter duet and have someone write an original song so we can talk about our differences and how hard it is to be a young person in this world.”
While Disney has not officially announced a live-action Tangled movie, fans are buzzing with anticipation. Carpenter herself fueled the excitement when she dressed up as Rapunzel for Halloween last year, earning praise for her striking resemblance to the beloved character.
Both Moore and Carpenter began their careers young, balancing acting and singing. Carpenter gained fame on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, while Moore’s breakout role was in The Princess Diaries (2001). Moore hinted at her enthusiasm for returning to The Princess Diaries series, saying, “I would show up in a cameo and work at a pet rescue now – just something fun.”
Known for her roles in This Is Us, Chasing Liberty, and Because I Said So, Moore continues to be a versatile actress. At 40, she is also expecting her third child.
Carpenter, meanwhile, has been making waves in the music industry with hits like “Nonsense” and her latest track, “Please, Please, Please.” Since 2022, she has consistently topped the charts, solidifying her status as a rising star.
As the speculation about a live-action Tangled continues, fans are eager to see if Moore’s dream casting becomes a reality.
