Hong Kong actress Natalie Tong made headlines in 2022 when she left TVB after nearly two decades. Despite her departure, her on-screen presence continued with shows she filmed before leaving, like I’ve Got The Power (2022) and The Invisibles (2023).

Now, Tong has turned her focus to new creative passions, including stage acting, screenwriting, and a newfound love for baking. Recently, she opened her own bakery in Hong Kong’s busy Causeway Bay district. Reports say her bakery has quickly become a hit, with goods selling out before 4 p.m.
One of the first celebrities to visit her shop was Meter Chen, ex-boyfriend of Hong Kong singer Joey Yung and a successful restaurant owner. Chen shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, featuring photos of Tong in her bakery uniform, attending to customers and handling errands. “My incredible friend has turned her dream into reality by opening a bakery supervised by Japanese experts,” he wrote. “I’m genuinely happy for you. Congratulations on making your dream come true.”
Tong’s journey into baking didn’t happen overnight. She has been honing her skills for a while, even spending two weeks in Japan to learn from seasoned bakers. In 2017, she also invested in a dessert shop in Hong Kong with friends, reportedly putting down a seven-figure sum.
Since signing with TVB in 2003, Tong has won fans with memorable roles in popular dramas like The Seventh Day, A Fistful of Stances, and My Unfair Lady. Today, she’s enjoying success on a new stage – her bakery – as she blends her passions with her entrepreneurial spirit.
