Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, and Penélope Cruz served as co-chairs for the event, along with Vogue’s global editorial director Anna Wintour. The guest list included a wide range of stars, many of whom paid tribute to Lagerfeld by wearing designs inspired by his work. The black-and-white uniform that Lagerfeld was known for was also a popular theme among attendees.

Margot Robbie wore a 1993 dress that was once worn by Cindy Crawford, while Nicole Kidman arrived in the iconic feathered gown that was made famous in her Chanel No 5 commercial from 2004. Federer’s suit featured hand-drawn sketches inspired by Lagerfeld, and Doja Cat, Jared Leto, and Lil Nas X all arrived in full cat costumes in honor of Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky arrived in show-stopping style, with Rihanna’s Valentino gown and hooded coat featuring a floral motif that was reminiscent of the Chanel brides who closed out Lagerfeld’s couture shows.
