Aizat Amdan Channels Muay Thai Spirit in New Single ‘Tegap Berdiri’

Aizat Amdan, a renowned figure in Malaysia’s music scene, has recently expanded his passion to Muay Thai, making his debut in the ring. Simultaneously, he returns to music with a new single, “Tegap Berdiri,” co-written with Mel Ramlan and Izzy Musa under Kasi Gegar Entertainment (KGE).

Aizat’s journey into Muay Thai began in 2015, inspired by the intense discipline and skill of fighters. “I started training, and one day, my coach said I was ready for a match. Fighting was never part of my plan, but I took on my first amateur fight on October 12,” Aizat shared, reflecting on his unexpected debut.

Addressing his thoughtful approach to music, Aizat said, “I believe in pacing myself rather than flooding the market with releases. I limit myself to just five songs a year to stay intentional with each project.” Now 35, Aizat emphasizes quality over quantity, aiming for each release to connect deeply with his audience.

“Tegap Berdiri” mirrors Aizat’s commitment to resilience, inspired during a casual conversation about sports and perseverance. “The phrase ‘even if you lose, stand tall’ became a defining lyric,” he explained. The song captures the ups and downs of life, urging listeners to keep moving forward.

The single’s music video, available on Aizat’s YouTube channel, follows his Muay Thai journey, depicting the rigorous training and determination involved. He describes it as a blend of pop with “KL-City Pop,” a nod to 1980s Japanese and Malaysian music influences.

Aizat hopes “Tegap Berdiri” becomes a motivating anthem for listeners. “Whether you’re working out or need a boost, let this song remind you to stand tall, no matter what,” he said.

The single is now available on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, and YouTube Music, and Aizat invites everyone to experience this fusion of music and personal growth.
