This new single follows the immense success of “APT,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars, which debuted last month. Inspired by a Korean drinking game, the catchy track quickly climbed music charts both in South Korea and internationally. It topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 40 regions and spent three weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100, peaking at No. 8. This achievement marked the highest ranking ever for a K-pop female solo artist, surpassing the No. 13 record previously set by Blackpink in 2020.
Rosé first ventured into solo projects in 2021 with her single album R, becoming the second Blackpink member to release a solo album. The title track, “On The Ground,” earned a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100, peaking at No. 70—a milestone for solo female K-pop acts at the time.
With Rosie, fans are eager to see how Rosé will further cement her status as a powerhouse in the global music scene. The upcoming B-side track offers a glimpse into the artistry and versatility of her long-awaited studio album.
