Hong Kong actor Samuel Kwok Fung was recently spotted shopping at The Exchange TRX mall in Kuala Lumpur, much to the delight of fans. On October 2, a well-known smartphone brand shared the news on its official Xiaohongshu page, revealing that Kwok had visited their outlet. The post featured three photos of the 72-year-old actor, dressed casually in a black t-shirt and shorts, smiling warmly as he posed with the store’s staff.
Last year, Kwok was in Malaysia to enjoy durian with friends, according to China Press, and it seems he’s back to explore more of the country. The smartphone brand captioned the post, “Our little outlet was lucky to welcome brother Fung today. The shop was buzzing with excitement, and our staff couldn’t resist snapping a few photos.”
Malaysian fans quickly took to the comments section to express their excitement and extend a warm welcome to the actor. Many wished him good health, while some humorously suggested that he was there to buy the store, referencing his iconic role as a chairman in the TVB drama At The Threshold Of An Era.
One fan commented, “Welcome to KL!” while another shared, “I love the characters he plays. Wishing him good health and happiness!”
Kwok, a graduate of TVB’s training class in 1971, has kept a lower profile in recent years, particularly after the passing of his wife, actress Susanna Au-yeung, in 2017. Despite this, he continues to make occasional appearances in films and dramas, including notable projects like Ghetto Justice, S Storm, and Raging Fire.
