Hong Kong artist Eason Chan has suffered another injury just a month after hurting his back. According to a statement from Chan’s manager, the 49-year-old singer received over 30 stitches on Monday, June 10, after fracturing his jawbone and sustaining a deep cut on his chin.

The Cantopop star’s injuries occurred after he fainted from a heat stroke while playing tennis that afternoon. Chan’s manager explained that the singer needs to rest for at least three weeks, resulting in the postponement of his upcoming shows in Chongqing, China, originally scheduled for June 14-16 and June 21-23, to 2025.

“No one could have predicted the accident. He is very unhappy about not being able to go to Chongqing and is afraid of worrying and disappointing fans,” said his manager.

Currently, Chan is in stable condition, and his family visits and takes care of him at the hospital. The manager assured Hong Kong media that the injury won’t affect Chan’s singing, and there should be no visible scars on his chin after recovery.

“Please don’t worry too much and give him time to rest. I believe he will recover soon and meet everyone,” the manager added.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Chan’s recovery and looking forward to seeing him back on stage in good health.
