Joe Chen and Malaysian Husband’s Langkawi Wedding Reception

Taiwanese actress Joe Chen and her husband, Malaysian artist Alan Chen, are finally celebrating their marriage with a wedding reception in Langkawi, Kedah, two years after they officially tied the knot.

The intimate event, set to take place at the end of the month, will be held at a luxurious five-star resort. Only close friends and family will be present to share in the joy of this special occasion.

Among the guests invited are the former members of 7 Flowers, the Taiwanese girl group that Joe was once a part of, adding a nostalgic touch to the celebration.

According to Joe’s manager, Langkawi holds a deep sentimental value for the couple, as it was the place where they first confessed their love for one another. “The wedding will have a warm, island-themed atmosphere… We sincerely appreciate everyone’s care and blessings for Joe,” the manager shared.

Their love story began in 2019 when Alan, who is from Johor, asked Joe, 45, to be his girlfriend on the popular dating show Meeting Mr Right II. A year later, he proposed to her on the iconic Langkawi Sky Bridge.

The couple enjoyed a blissful two-and-a-half years of dating before officially registering their marriage in Taipei City on March 31, 2022. Unfortunately, the pandemic prevented them from hosting a wedding ceremony at that time.

Finally, on July 30, two years after their marriage registration, Joe delighted her fans by sharing photos from their pre-wedding shoots on Weibo. The couple looked radiant in both Western and traditional Chinese wedding attire, capturing the essence of their enduring love.
