South Korean actor Song Joong-ki is thrilled to announce that he and his British wife, Katy Louise Saunders, are expecting their second child, just a year after welcoming their first son.

On July 8, South Korean media outlet News1 reported that Saunders is pregnant and focusing on prenatal care. The joyous news has been shared with their families and friends, and Song’s agency, HighZium Studio, has confirmed the announcement.
“Song Joong-ki and his wife will be welcoming their second child,” the agency stated. “We are unable to disclose the baby’s due date and gender as it is the actor’s private life.”
Song, 38, and Saunders, 39, began their relationship after being introduced by a mutual friend. The couple went public with their relationship in December 2022 and registered their marriage in January 2023. That same month, Song announced Saunders’ first pregnancy in a heartfelt letter to his fans.
In June 2023, Saunders gave birth to their first child, a son, in her hometown of Rome, Italy. Song shared the joyous news on his official fan club page with a touching photo of their baby’s tiny hand holding an adult’s finger.
Song Joong-ki, who recently starred in the Netflix film “My Name Is Loh Kiwan” (2024), was previously married to South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo. The couple, who played lovers in the hit military romance “Descendants Of The Sun” (2016), tied the knot in 2017 but divorced in 2019.
Now, as Song and Saunders prepare to welcome their second child, fans are overjoyed for the couple and eagerly await more updates on their growing family.
