Operation Undead: Thai Zombie Thriller Hits Malaysian Cinemas This October

Get ready for an adrenaline-packed cinematic experience this October with the release of OPERATION UNDEAD, an exciting Thai zombie action film directed by Kongkiat Komesiri. Hitting Malaysian cinemas on October 24, 2024, this film promises a thrilling new twist on the classic zombie apocalypse genre.

Distributed by TGV and presented by Malaysia Rights Holder Mockingbird Pictures, OPERATION UNDEAD is set in 1941, against the backdrop of war. It follows Mok (played by Awat Ratanapintha) and his comrades as they battle both invading forces and a terrifying biological weapon that causes a zombie outbreak. Mok’s older brother, Mek (played by Nonkul), must balance his sense of duty with the responsibility of protecting his sibling as the chaos unfolds.

The film brings together two of Thailand’s most popular actors, Nonkul (Bad Genius, Love Destiny: The Movie) and Awat Ratanapintha (Girl from Nowhere, Haunted Universities 3). Although the pair have known each other for over a decade, this marks their first on-screen collaboration. Their portrayal of brothers in the midst of horror adds an emotional layer to the action-packed storyline.

Director Kongkiat Komesiri shared his inspiration for the film: “I wanted to create more than just a zombie movie. OPERATION UNDEAD explores survival, love, and the harsh realities of war. I believe audiences will connect with the intensity, the eerie atmosphere, and the powerful performances.”

Fans can already catch a glimpse of the action with the official teaser trailer, poster, and stills. Don’t miss out—OPERATION UNDEAD lands in cinemas nationwide on October 24, 2024. Mark your calendars!
