PLKN 3.0 Series 4 Selection Results Out! Check Your Status Starting Aug 10 (Training Dates & Camp Details Inside)
[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysian youth born in 2008, take note! The National Service Training Department (JLKN) has officially announced that the selection results for PLKN 3.0 Series 4 (Siri 4/2026) are now out. Selected candidates will receive official notifications via SMS.
Starting from 11:00 AM on August 10, 2026 (Sunday), all eligible youth can check their status by entering their MyKad number on the official ePLKN portal. This training series is scheduled to run from October 3 to November 16, spanning approximately 45 days.
How to Check If You’ve Been Selected?
National Service Training Department Director Major General Datuk Marzuki Mokhtar confirmed that the notification process has begun. There are two ways to check:
Selected youth will directly receive an official SMS notification containing instructions for reporting. Ensure your registered mobile number in the system is up to date.
Regardless of whether you received an SMS, all eligible youth can check their status starting 11:00 AM on Aug 10 by logging into the Ministry of Defence’s PLKN official website and entering their MyKad number in the “Semakan Pelatih” (Trainee Check) section.
Series 4 (Siri 4) Training Details
If you have been selected, here are the critical details you must know:
- 📅 Training Dates: October 3, 2026 (Check-in) to November 16, 2026 (Graduation), totaling 45 days.
- 🎯 Target Group: Primarily youth born in 2008 (turning 18 this year), and some eligible youth who were deferred from previous series due to academic or health reasons.
- 🏕️ Camp Locations: Trainees will be assigned to designated PLKN camps nationwide (e.g., Kem Perdana Sungai Besi). Your specific camp will be shown in your check results.
- 🎒 Training Modules: PLKN 3.0 focuses on basic defense, discipline building, live-fire shooting exercises, first aid skills, and community service, aiming to instill patriotism and soft skills.
What If You Weren’t Selected?
Since PLKN 3.0 uses a batch selection lottery system, not all eligible youth will be selected in the same series. If you weren’t selected this time, keep these points in mind:
2026 has 4 planned training series. If you missed Series 4, your name remains in the system for potential selection in the 2027 series.
If you are 18 this year but weren’t selected, and you wish to experience National Service, you can apply for “Voluntary Participation” (Permohonan Sukarela) via the ePLKN system, subject to camp availability.
Students preparing for critical exams like SPM/STPM, or those with specific medical proofs, are automatically exempted or deferred by the system without needing extra applications.
JLKN emphasizes that all notifications come ONLY via official SMS and the ePLKN website. Do not trust any third-party intermediaries asking for money to “exempt” you or “guarantee” selection.

Long-Term Goals of the National Service Training Department
As PLKN 3.0 progresses steadily, the Malaysian government plans to gradually expand the coverage of National Service. The authority aims to train up to 25,000 youth annually across 13 designated training camps nationwide. This not only enhances the defense awareness of the youth but also provides a valuable foundation in discipline and leadership for their future academic or career pursuits.
