Originating from the bustling streets of New York, Shake Shack is teaming up with SPC, a renowned Korean-based global food and beverage company, along with local partners to create a gastronomic hub right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, specifically at the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) building.
Known for its quirky twists on American classics, Shake Shack offers a delectable menu that boasts iconic items like the mouthwatering ShackBurger, the tempting Chicken Shack, the delightful ‘Shroom Burger, perfectly crispy Crinkle-Cut Fries and so much more. However, the official opening date is yet to be confirmed, keeping the anticipation alive. Moreover, there will be exclusive Malaysian items to look forward to, adding a unique local twist to the global menu.

Shake Shack’s arrival in Malaysia follows the recent debut of another popular American burger joint, Five Guys, which opened its doors in Pavilion KL and Genting Highlands. Some Malaysians have debated the prices of menu items, with a cheeseburger costing RM38 and a large serving of fries priced at RM26.
With the promise of a 2023 opening, Shake Shack is also setting its sights on establishing ten outlets across Malaysia by 2031. As Shake Shack prepares to enter the Malaysian market, the question on everyone’s mind is whether it will spark a similar debate among local foodies.
This fast-casual restaurant chain, born as a humble hot dog stand in New York in 2004, has since grown into a global sensation with 305 outlets in the United States and 165 locations worldwide, including Hong Kong, Dubai, London, Singapore, Tokyo, and the Philippines.
