Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump recently expressed strong feelings against pop superstar Taylor Swift, just days after she endorsed his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, for the upcoming election.
Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, and wrote in an all-caps post, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” This statement came after Swift announced to her massive 284 million Instagram followers that she would be supporting Harris, citing the vice president’s dedication to causes that matter to her.

Initially, Trump seemed dismissive of Swift’s political stance, saying he wasn’t a fan. However, as polls have shown Harris gaining momentum in what is shaping up to be a tight race for the presidency, Trump has ramped up his rhetoric against the singer. With over 9 million “likes” on Swift’s endorsement post, many speculate that her influence could significantly sway voters in Harris’ favor.
Following Trump’s post, Tim Walz, Harris’ running mate, chimed in on social media, encouraging Swift’s fans, also known as “Swifties,” to help defeat Trump, referring to him with a jab inspired by one of Swift’s songs.
This isn’t the first time Trump and Swift have clashed. Back in 2018, after Swift voiced support for Democratic candidates, Trump remarked that he liked her music “about 25% less.” Since then, their back-and-forth has continued, with fans on both sides passionately defending their respective idols.
This latest exchange only adds fuel to an already intense political season.
